Mickey Mouse is now on computer screens in China, his corporate owner announced on Sunday.

Mickey and his cartoon cohorts are now available on Disney.com.cn, a joint venture between the entertainment group and SeaRainbow Holding Corporation, a Chinese Web content company, according Walt Disney Internet Group.

"Disney's content, including such recognizable characters as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck, has universal appeal to children and families of all cultures," said Walt Disney Gruop managing director Mark Handler in a statement.

"We're excited to be part of the Chinese Internet market and look forward to working with SeaRainbow as our relationship unfolds."

Disney.com.cn will feature selections from other Walt Disney Company web sites and divisions, including a subscription service to "Disney's Blast" , an online gaming and interactive site featuring Winnie the Pooh.
