More Foreign Destinations for Chinese Travelers

South Africa, Germany, Egypt and Malta have become four new targeting countries for Chinese travelers who plan a trip freely on their own expanses, the National Tourism Administration (NTA) said on Friday.

Currently, NTA is launching consultations with the four countries to arrange visa affair, trip routes and accommodation issues for Chinese travelers, and is expected to finish the all the preparatory work next year.

By the end of 2000, China's State Council has allowed ordinary Chinese travelers to make trips to 17 countries and areas freely on their own traveling expanses. The targeted areas are Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, Myanmar, the Laos, Brunei, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Macao SAR.

Making a trip to countries and regions on the authorized list will save Chinese travelers time and paper work while their personal safety is also safeguarded.
