Italian Prime Minister Giuliano Amato arrived in Beijing Monday for a three-day official visit to China at the invitation of Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji.

During Amato's stay in Beijing, Zhu will hold talks with the Prime Minister.

Besides Beijing, Amato will also visit Shanghai.
