Intermediary organizations played an important role in Beijing's foreign trade and economic cooperation sector, effectively bridging the government with foreign enterprises, officials said.
Li Zhao, director with the Beijing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Committee, said these intermediary groups helped foreign firms operate in Beijing as well as assisted the municipal government to improve its investment environment.
These organizations include the Beijing Foreign Investment Service Centre, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Beijing Sub-Council, the Beijing Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment, and the Beijing Association of Enterprises with Overseas Chinese Investment.
On the suggestion of these intermediary organizations, the municipal government approved more reform of Beijing's administrative system.
At the same time, one-stop services have been set up in 18 districts and counties, as well as the Beijing Economic & Technological Development Area and Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park.
A supervision system on the investment environment between the government and private enterprises has also been created, Li said.
A management method for the Beijing Foreign-Funded Enterprises Complaints was implemented and the Beijing Foreign Investment Complaining Centre has also been established.
