China begins temporary anti-dumping measures as of Thursday against imports of acrylate made in the Republic of Korea (ROK), Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC).
Investigation has revealed that substantial damage to Chinese industries has been caused due to dumping of acrylate imported from the above-mentioned countries, MOFTEC said in a statement.
MOFTEC made the judgment in line with results of anti-dumping investigation that was initiated on October 10, 2001 by relevant government departments.
The ministry required importers of acrylate made in the four countries to pay cash deposits to Chinese customs. The product is listed under "2916.1200" in the tariffs of the General Administration of Chinese Customs.
