Premier Wen Jiabao arrived in the Hague on Tuesday to attend the 7th China-EU summit, aimed at strengthening a comprehensive and strategic partnership.
Wen said in a statement on arrival that he looked forward to an in-depth exchange of views with leaders of the EU and the Netherlands on the future development of China-EU and China-Netherlands relations and on major international issues of common interest.
Wen said China and the EU made a decision at last year's summit to put relations on track for mature and stable growth.
The premier, who came at the invitation of Jan Peter Balkenende, prime minister of the Netherlands and current president of the EU, said that since China and the Netherlands established diplomatic relations, ties have continued to develop, with fruitful exchanges and cooperation in political, economic, trade, scientific, technological, agricultural, educational and other fields.
