There was no new case of SARS in China in the 24 hours from 10:00 April 30 to 10:00 May 1, but a previously reported suspected case was confirmed, the Ministry of Health said in Beijing Saturday.

The newly confirmed SARS patient surnamed Yang receiving medical treatment at Beijing's Ditan Hospital was reported as a suspected case on April 23.

So far, six SARS cases and three suspected SARS cases have been reported on the Chinese mainland since April 22. Of the six confirmed cases, two were reported in Anhui and four in Beijing. The three suspected cases are now in Beijing.
