Four people were confirmed dead and seven hospitalized after a supermarket collapsed in south China's Guangdong Province on Monday whilst being redecorated, the local government said on Tuesday.
Two others received minor injuries but were allowed to go home last night after treatment.
The western wing of Huifu Supermarket, in central Yingde City, collapsed at around 3 PM trapping 11 people, mostly construction workers from rural areas.
The local government mobilized more than 300 rescuers to search for those buried, and they worked until 7 AM today.
The three-storey building was at least 30 years old, but the cause of the incident was not reported.
