A 30-year-old Taiwanese man was killed and his 48-year-old colleague injured when the two got into an argument on Saturday in Zhuhai, a city in south China's Guangdong Province.
Local police said that their preliminary investigation shows the incident was triggered by a dispute over counterfeit money.
Both men were employees of the Taiwan-based Far Eastern Air Transport.
Further investigation is under way.
