People in most cities throughout China have witnessed a warm winter, and the temperature was especially high over the past five days, with Shanghai soaring to 21.6 degrees Centigrade Monday, an 88-year record and only 1.4 degrees short of the record high set in 1914.
Statistics of the Chinese Central Meteorological Station and local meteorological stations show that since January 1 this year, the temperature in most cities was three to five degrees Centigrade higher than that in the previous years.
Farmers of the country worry about the warm weather because if the current high temperature continues, crops will suffer.
