Up to 22.5 percent Beijing people planned to spend more on the Spring Festival,the largest holiday for Chinese people,according to a survey.
The information consulting center of the Beijing Bureau of Statistics conducted the survey to more than 600 Beijing people.
More Beijingers preferred to make more spending in the coming Spring Festival with the consumption level expected to reach more than 1,200 yuan (US$144.6)for one household,according to the statistics.
According to the statistics,most people wanted to spend no more than 1,500 yuan on the holiday,while more than 30 percent interviewees predicted 1,500 yuan-10,000 yuan of holiday spending.The survey indicated that 41.3 percent interviewees said they would spend money on the special purchases for the Spring Festival,16.5 percent people would spend money on the holiday dinners and 14.3 percent people said the biggest expenditure would be the holiday travel.
