The Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobiles Company Limited (DPCA), a Sino-French car maker, announced they had sold a record high of 149,399 motor vehicles by the end of Dec. 26 this year.
The figure represents a year-on-year rise of 60 percent, said corporate sources.
The DPCA, with its headquarters in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei Province, produced 127,646 cars from January to November this year, and sold 129,109 vehicles during the same period, up 54.25 percent and 64.86 percent, respectively, according to Liu Weidong, DPCA general manager.
He disclosed that his company would put three new car varieties into the market next year, while maintaining the privilege in operating the existing car brands such as the Dongfeng Citroen and Peugeot.
