The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) announced Tuesday it has signed a memorandum of understanding on mutual cooperation with the US NASDAQ bourse.
The MOU was signed in New York on Monday afternoon New York time, or Tuesday morning Beijing time, said the SSE source.
The MOU primarily concerns information sharing, establishing a mechanism for senior management exchange visits, regular personnel exchanges and holding regular symposiums and joint research in fields of mutual interest.
It is the 27th MOU the SSE has signed with international counterparts.
SSE vice general manager Liu Xiaodong, who signed the MOU with a NASDAQ executive vice president, said the MOU implies a stable, long-term cooperative relationship between the two exchanges, involving information, technological and training exchanges.
