Amidst rising international concerns as to China's vast energy consumption, the Ministry of Commerce Friday banned all processing trade companies from exporting or importing heavy diesel oil or fuel.
Under the 2007 Prohibited List for Processing Trade published today and that will come into vigor April 26, processing trade companies now have 990 products ruled off-limits for trading with 186 being added on this year, most of these being non-renewable resources.
The list was jointly released by the Ministry of Commerce, the General Administration of Customs and the State Environmental Protection Administration.
