Invest Hong Kong, the inward investment promotion department of the Hong Kong government, was ranked the first in Asia in Strategic Direct Investor's (SDI) global responsiveness survey.
SDI's publisher Richard McBriar said Invest Hong Kong led the way in timeliness, quality and relevance of response and required information.
"Following our inquiry, we received prompt and informative replies from Invest Hong Kong staff and follow-up calls," McBriar said.
Out of all the investment promotion agencies surveyed in the Asia Pacific region, Invest Hong Kong went above and beyond in providing exactly what was needed, the publisher said.
The Britain-based magazine contacted 92 agencies throughout the Asia Pacific region, and the ranking was based on the speed and quality of the response from the investment promotion agencies.
The magazine said, "Invest Hong Kong acknowledged the receipt of our request, spelt out the key advantages to establishing an operation in Hong Kong and asked all the right questions to aid clarity in providing information."
In its latest edition, the magazine reported the results of its first global responsiveness survey of investment promotion agencies. The survey was conducted by posing as a potential investor and sending identical emails to investment promotion agencies' websites asking for help and advice.
