US Firm to Open 105 Retail Stores in China
US-based Nu Skin Enterprises Inc., a global personal care product manufacturer, announced recently to open 105 exclusive retail stores in China on Jan. 8, 2003.

Nu Skin has chosen China as the focus of its global business expansion, according to Dylan Han, a public relations officer with Nu Skin's office in east China's Shanghai.

Han said the company invested 15 million US dollars to establish the 105 stores, located in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Guangdong and Shanghai, in the second half of this year. All stores have been spruced up for the official opening day.

Over the past five years, the company's investment in China was near 80 million US dollars, which mainly went to the construction of production bases, retail stores and research and development, said Han.

A Nu Skin top executive predicted the company's sales in China would top 300 million US dollars in five years.
