The 94th China Guangzhou Export Commodities Fair will kick off this Wednesday, and will run until the end of the month. It will be the first such fair since the outbreak of SARS outbreak.
The fair will highlight a large variety of goods including electrical appliances, machinery, and medicine from Wednesday to next Monday and shift to office and outdoor articles, home furnishing, ornaments, jade carvings, and jewelry in the next few days.
Business deals struck at every China Guangzhou export commodities fair, dubbed "the weathervane of China's exports", account for one third of the country's total national volume of exports via general trade each year. (CRI October 13, 2003)
