A photo album on Ba Jin, an elderly Chinese author, was published Friday by the Shanghai People's Art Publishing House in this metropolis in east China.
The album includes more than 200 pictures and abundant articles totaling 60,000 words, featuring Ba's life and thoughts over the past decade.
The photos and articles were taken and written by Lu Zhengwei, a member of the Shanghai writers' association. He recorded the true life of Ba through by his pen and camera during the years.
Lu said that the book is a great present to mark the 97th birthday of Ba, who has for many years suffered the torment of Parkinson's disease.
Ba, a native of southwest China's Sichuan Province, has worked as a writer for 71 years, gaining a reputation for his great novel series, "Family, Spring and Autumn".
