The State General Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (SGAQSIQ) has released a notice to revoke the export ban of poultry products from east China's Anhui Province, which had suffered from bird flu outbreak in its Chaohu City.
National bird flu reference laboratory confirmed the deadly H5N1 strain of bird flu virus infection on July 5 in Anhui Province. On July 7, the SGAQSIQ released a notice, banning the export of poultry products from the province.
The bird flu in the province was soon stamped out and the isolation of infected areas has been removed on July 28.
The administration also asked local branches to do a good job in quarantine and check after the removal of export ban.
