The Chinese Embassy in Jakarta has confirmed that two Chinese businessmen were among the passengers who died in yesterday's air crash in Indonesia.
On Monday, a Boeing 737-200 with 117 people onboard crashed into a residential suburb minutes after take-off from Polonia Airport in Medan, killing 103 passengers and 47 people on the ground.
The two Chinese were identified as Xu Fengchun and Xu Tianwu, residents of Putian County in Fujian Province.
The embassy said families of the two victims have been contacted and embassy officials are on their way to Medan.
