The Air Corps of the Chinese People's Liberation (PLA) Field Army launched an actual-combat drill at an undisclosed location in north China in the last few days.
The drill, which ended Thursday, is aimed at examining the corps' fighting abilities under all-weather conditions, according to an officer in charge of the Field Army's Air Corps.
During the drill, warplanes performed various kinds of complicated actions in the air, including attacks, interceptions and breaches.
The officer said over 20 key technical problems were resolved in the drill, marking the entrance into a new era of high technology warfare for the Field Army's Air Corps.
