Statistics from China's National School of Administration (NSA) show that the NSA has trained 1,303civil servants for Macao from 1995 to 2005.
Since Macao and the mainland signed a contract to train government officials in September 1995, NSA has organized 45 training classes.
From 2000 to 2005, a total of 30 NSA training classes, or 67 percent of the total trainings in Macao, were organized in the mainland and 1,017 Macao officials received the training.
Chen Fujin, vice president of the NSA said that Macao officialstrained in the mainland can see the mainland's rapid economic and social development and exchange views face-to-face with the mainland's officials and scholars.
Chen said the NSA trainings have not only benefited Macao officials but also better implemented the policy of "one country, two systems" and helped boost Macao's economic development.
"The training program achieved a win-win situation and both sides are pleased with the fruitful results." said Chen.
Chen said the NSA is exploring more effective teaching methods so as to boost the efficiency of future training classes.
