Adjust font size:

The 30-member Snow Leopard Commando of the Chinese People's Armed Police (PAP) aboard two military transport planes left the Nanyuan Airport here on Sunday morning, heading for Russia to join in the "Cooperation 2007" anti-terror exercise.

At 6:40 am, a brief ceremony was held at the military airport to see off the PAP detachment which has been granted the title of "Snow Leopard Commando" according to international practice.

At 7:00 am, the transport planes took off.

The Snow Leopard Command, from the 13th Special Brigade of the PAP Beijing Corps, will participate in an anti-terror drill with Russia's domestic security force in early this month.

The brigade, which established in 2002, is a first-class anti-terror force guarding China's national capital, according to the PAP Headquarters.
