Dense fog cloaked Shanghai's Pudong airport on Monday, affecting about 130 flights and the travel plans of more than 10,000 passengers.

The fog that formed over the sea began to affect the Shanghai Pudong International Airport around 6 p.m. Monday.

More than 90 inbound flights and 30 outbound flights were delayed and around ten cancelled as of 9:30 p.m., according to flight information on the website of the Shanghai Airport Authority.

It is still unknown when the flights will return to normal as the fog is continuing, airport sources said.
