A tanker truck loaded with tons of liquefied petroleum gas tipped over at noon on Wednesday in the southern China's city of Guangzhou.
A local newspaper, the Southern Metropolitan News, reported on Thursday that the driver was dead at the scene, and the area had to be sealed off forcing the closure of several nearby streets.
Danger of fire and explosion slowed down rescue work and it took about five hours to remove the truck, and allow traffic to resume.
