China's national centre for disease control has released preventative measures against Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, or SARS, to stop the illness spreading further.
The preventative methods have been worked out by the Ministry of Public Health.
The center says the measures aim to guide hospitals at all levels to treat infected people on time and take effective methods to prevent the disease from infecting more.
The cause of the flu-like disease remains unknown. But evidence is mounting to suggest the illness can only be transmitted via close contact with an infected person.
