Experts from MOH and WHO Continues SARS Inspection in Henan
The group of eight experts from China's Ministry of Health (MOH) and the World Health Organization (WHO) continued their inspection of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) prevention and control in Central China's Henan Province Thursday.

WHO expert James Maguire said he appreciates the work that Henan has done after he listened to the introduction on SARS prevention in what is, at 95 million residents, the most populous province of China.

Gao Jun, vice dean of the MOH information center for health statistics, also praised the work Henan has done, saying the analysis is comprehensive and is helpful for the MOH.

In the afternoon, the task force divided into three groups and inspected the fever clinic of the Henan People's Hospital, the Zhengzhou Sanitation and Anti-Epidemic Station and a hospital designated for treating SARS patients.

WHO and MOH experts also went to main intersections and communities to check on the implementation of SARS prevention measures.

Since the first patient was diagnosed with the epidemic on April 16 in Henan, 14 more cases and 10 suspects have been reported in the province.

The task force arrived Wednesday for a five-day inspection of the SARS situation.
