More than 1,000 armed police and civilians have rushed to the site for rescue work, along with government officials.

In Kangding County of the Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Garze in Sichuan Province, two people were killed and another severely injured in a mudslide during severe rainstorms Monday morning.
