A senior leader of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Friday called for further advancing ethical process in line with the changing of the times.
Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, said that to carry forward the fighting spirit which was witnessed in the combat against SARS is an ethical task of the new era, in order to guide the national spirit into a great mental drive in building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Li said at a conference that the ethical process should proceed pragmatically and in connection with the lives of the public.
Priority should be given to advocating for unity, mutual help and devotion to work, said Li.
