Chinese weapon experts confirmed Sunday that bombs found last Wednesday in Heze City of Shandong Province in east China have been left by Japanese invaders during World War II.
While digging drainage channels in the city on Sept. 3, construction workers found 80 bombs arrayed in an orderly way.
The bombs were removed after the experts determined they were conventional weapons.
In spite of the rust, Japanese characters can be seen on the bombs, which led the experts to believe they were left by the Japanese invaders.
