Northwest China's Qinghai province has been hit by an earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale.So far, there have been no immediate reports of damage or injury. The quake occurred at 13:04 Tuesday local time, and the epicenter was approximately 50 kilometers from the city of Delingha in northern part of the province. Investigative teams have rushed to the quake affected areas to look into the situation.
In April last year, an earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck the same city, resulting in damage to some houses in the vicinity. The city was also jolted by another two quakes in Feburary and March this year, measuring 5.0 and 5.2 on the Richter scale
