The price war in Shanghai's TV market has been waged again, as the leading home appliance retailers have slashed the high-end TV prices, today's homeway.com reported.
Many imported brands have been dragged to the price war.
At the Shanghai Yongle Electric Appliance Co. Ltd, one of the city's leading home appliance sellers, the cuts for the Sharp TVs are all above 10 percent. For example, a 34-inch Toshiba multi-program model 34D8UXC has dived from 11,980 yuan (US$1,149) to 9,900 yuan, while a 29AF6C pure flat model jumped to 3,760 yuan and a LG 29-inch FA60E pure flat model plunged to 3,280 yuan.
Meanwhile, the domestic products are waging another round of price war to fight against the imported products. A TCL 29-inch pure flat model has slumped to 2,680 yuan and a Conrowa 29-inch pure flat model has fallen to 2,388 yuan.
