Local police in this Chinese capital now use a computerized portable device to collect the finger prints of suspects in an effort to detect criminal activities.
Local police seldom used fingerprint detection technology to uncover criminal cases until the 1990s, when computerized fingerprint detector was adopted.
Last August, a new-type fingerprint equipment, dubbed as "CAFI--JH Finger-Print Collector," was put into use in local police stations.
So far, a number of criminal cases have been uncovered by local police with the help of the new device.
