Chinese frontier guards cracked a drug-trafficking ring in Southwest China's Yunnan Province earlier this week, arresting four suspects and seizing 17 kilograms of heroin and a cross-country vehicle.
Bordering the notorious drug-producing "Golden Triangle Area," Yunnan faces serious drug-trafficking problems. Provincial authorities seized a record amount of heroin in 2001.
In a border check on November 8 last year, Yunnan frontier guards uncovered a truck carrying 672.9kilograms of heroin, the biggest drug-trafficking case in China.
