Cable Fair to Promote Media Tech Exchange

The China Cable Broadcasting Network Fair, sponsored by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, will be held in the China International Exhibition Center, Beijing, on March 22-24.

It is jointly organized by the Academy of Broadcasting Science, Broadcasting Information Network Center and provincial radio and film administrations across China.

Having been successfully held for four years, the fair has become the largest exhibition of broadcasting and digital communications technologies.

On display will be the latest products and technologies of electronic media.

Every element of television and radio broadcasting, film and video production, data broadcasting, satellite and telecommunications will be covered.

Because of the rapid development of broadband communication throughout the world, the fair will also include digital home electronic equipment display this year.

A large-scale symposium will be held during the exhibition, where the administration officials, famous experts and businesses from home and abroad will deliver policy, technical reports and presentations on broadcast communications.

A number of seminars will also be held to facilitate technology exchange and co-operation.

To date, a total of 395 companies, including 58 foreign companies such as Motorola, Nokia, Philips and Sony, have entered for the event.

Last year, the fair attracted nearly 500 exhibitors from 22 countries and 200,000 individual visitorss.
