DPRK, Japan to Hold 11th Round of Talks in Beijing

The eleventh round of formal talks between the governments of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Japan is slated to open in Beijing on October 30, the Korean Central News Agency reported Friday.

The talks will focus on issues relating to the establishment of Japan-DPRK diplomatic relations, according to the agency.

Japan's redress for its past, a pending issue between the two countries, will also be discussed during the talks.

Jong Thae Hwa, roving ambassador of the DPRK Foreign Ministry, will lead the DPRK delegation, while the Japanese delegation will be headed by Kojiro Takano, an ambassador from the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
