Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan Wednesday denied a report about a "consensus" reached between China and Japan on the intruders into the Japanese Consulate-General in Shenyang.
"There is absolutely no such a consensus," Kong said when answering a question from reporters that it is reported China and Japan have reached a consensus on sending the five people, who forced their way into the Japanese Consulate-General in Shenyang on May 8, to a third country as soon as possible.
He said the key to the resolution of the issue at present is to find the facts.
He urged the Japanese side to respect the investigation results of the Chinese side and stop the groundless accusation against China.
The Chinese side will properly handle the issue of the five people according to international and domestic laws, while taking humanitarian reasons into consideration, Kong said.
