Premier Zhu Meets WIPO Director-General

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji met Tuesday with visiting director-general of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Kamil Idris and other delegates to the WIPO Sino-African Intellectual Property Forum and a WIPO policy advisory commission meeting.

Zhu said that the Chinese government attaches great importance to intellectual property protection.

Although China has achieved some progress in the field in recent years, much remains to be done, Zhu said.

China is willing to further cooperate with the WIPO, Zhu said.

Idris spoke highly of China's achievements in intellectual property protection and said the WIPO is willing to help China strengthen its intellectual property system.
