Chinese President Jiang Zemin on Friday sent a congratulatory message to his Guyanese counterpart, Bharrat Jagdeo, on the 36th anniversary of Guyana's Independence Day.
In his message, Jiang, on behalf of the Chinese government and people and in his own name, expressed warm congratulations and good wishes to Jagdeo, the Guyanese government and people.
Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan also sent a congratulatory message to his Guyanese counterpart, Samuel R. Insanally, on the same occasion.
