The tasty litchi is the latest and favorite fruit in this season.
The fruit is very nutritious: every 100 grams of the litchi pulp contains 84 grams of water, 0.9 gram of protein, 0.7 grams of fat, 0.5 grams of iron and many vitamins and sugar.
Besides its nutrition, litchi is good for the spleen and can enrich the blood. The dried litchi is used to treat illnesses.
Prepare 50 grams of dried litchi, and 15 grams of seaweed and kelp. Cook the mixture in water with some yellow wine. Drink the soup once a day to treat scrofula in the neck.
Prepare five dried litchi, 15 grams of yam, 10 grams of lotus seeds and 10 Chinese dates. Decoct the mixture or cook with rice into porridge, which are good to enrich the spleen and stop diarrhea.
Cook 10 dried litchi and 10 Chinese dates in water. Drink the soup and eat the fruit once or twice a day, to enrich the blood and increase energy, especially for women.
