Chinese filmmakers announced Monday the shooting of a movie featuring the late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping after nine years of preparations.
The movie will give a vivid description of the outstanding leadership of patriotic Deng who led the Chinese people in the cause of reform and opening-up and making great achievements in building socialism with Chinese characteristics.
The movie was jointly planned by the Party Literature Research Center of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT), the publicity department of the CPC's Guangdong provincial committee and the Shenzhen municipal government.
Ding Yinnan, director of the movie, said the movie shoot will be finished by February next year and production is scheduled to completed three months later.
