"Meet in Beijing" Performance Week Being Held in City Garden

A Performance Week will be held in Beijing from May 1 to 7, as part of the third "Meet in Beijing" Cultural Festival, which began on April 20.

During the week seven foreign artistic troupes as well as local troupes have been invited to stage outdoor performances in Chaoyang Garden, to entertain local people during their 7-day International Labor Day holiday.

Performances will include Greek traditional dances, African dances, Filipino ethnic dances, a Korean drum dance, Russian songs and dances, and Canadian folk songs.

Chinese artists will also put on a big fashion parade.

Apart from the outdoor performances, entertainment games and drinks have been arranged for May 1, to help the actors and the people to get to know each other.
