Beijing has made a preliminary blueprint for three key tourism projects, scheduled for completionbefore 2008, according to the Municipal Tourism Administration.
The city will seek advice from the Disney company and other world-famed theme park operators, aiming to build its own top-class theme park, officials with the administration said.
A multi-functional modern exhibition center, covering 200,000 square meters, will also be built by that year.
A pedestrian mall in typical Beijing folk architecture will be constructed in the Dazhalan area, one of the most prosperous business regions in the city. Large numbers of renowned Beijing-based shops with long histories will open branches there.
