Three Hong Kong tourists, including a couple in their 60s and a teen-ager, died in a traffic accident yesterday afternoon on the Shenzhen-Shantou expressway in Guangdong Province.

More than 20 others of a 30-member Hong Kong tourist group were injured and are being treated in a local hospital. The tourist group, organized by a Hong Kong travel service, started its trip from Shenzhen in a tourist bus on Tuesday morning. The accident took place at about 1 p.m. near Lufeng County. The cause of the mishap is under investigation, and preparations are under way to send the injured to Hong Kong.
