China's First Braille Newspaper Published


China's first newspaper supplement in Braille was published Sunday by the Shenzhen Business Daily, based in Shenzhen city of south China's Guangdong Province.

It is a special one-off issue for blind people and was printed by the Chinese Braille Language Publishing House.

Huang Yanglue, director of Shenzhen Business Daily, said that Shenzhen has several thousand blind people, who are eager to read newspapers.

The publication has over 20,000 words and covers news about the life and employment situation of blind people in Shenzhen, he said.
