Foreign Enterprise Service Corporation (FESCO) was set up in Beijing at the end of the 1970's with the upsurge of China's reform and opening, along with China's efforts to integrate her economy with the world economy. FESCO didn't have any lavish ribbon-cutting opening ceremony at the time of its founding. November 16, 1979 was designated as FESCO's founding date, on which the first Chinese employee was sent to work in a foreign company's representative office in Beijing. Since then, we have always kept in mind the needs of foreign companies, as this what we are here for.
Over the last 22 years our entire staff has worked, hand in hand shoulder to shoulder, to make FESCO the most successful company in the field of human resources in China. In terms of human resources and other related services and total assets, FESCO tops the list of all her counterparts in China. Our purpose is to further world economic and trades cooperation and promotes technological and cultural interflow, building a bridge leading to the world. Meanwhile, FESCO has increasingly become an open university, turning out large number of excellent professional talents with practical experience, who are well versed in managerial skills of world-level enterprises. Playing an important role for China's prosperity, FESCO has contributed significantly to China's economic growth and that of other countries, for China's reform and opening as well as the improvement of investment environment.
Building on what we have achieved in the past, FESCO has made a long-term development program at the turn of the century for diversification, internationalization and establishing new subsidiary companies. Our development direction is to press ahead with our efforts in focusing on providing human resources services, while developing and perfecting other undertakings which have a close bearing on our main business. FESCO is striving to become a more powerful up-to-date enterprise group with fast expanding businesses in all areas.
We have a long way to go and will face many challenges. But we are confident that we will continue improving in the years to come.
