Cut-Off Fingers Restored

A doctor in Xi’an, capital city of west China’s Shaanxi Province, has reattached the fingers of a 28-year-old woman’s right hand. They were cut off in an industrial accident.

The patient, identified as Shan, lost the fingers while operating a cutting machine, according to the Xinhua News Agency.

Doctor Cong Rui of Xijing Hospital reconnected Shan’s index finger, middle finger and pinkie finger to her hand and removed the ring finger to make the thumb.

At present, all the fingers are in good condition, according to the doctor.
