Teaming up with international organizations for environmental protection projects is becoming a trend in north China’s Hebei Province.
In the past decade the province has cooperated with the World Bank and various organizations from nearly 21 countries and regions including Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Canada and Australia.
Their involvement mainly focused on forest plantation, introduction of advanced technology and equipment from foreign countries, and the training of environmental professionals.
So far, Hebei has sent 100 study groups abroad and received more than 120 visiting groups from around the world.
The province will double its efforts to get more from world financial institutions and overseas governmental funds for environmental protection work.
