International Toy Block Maker Wins in Piracy Dispute

Interlego AG, a toy building block manufacturer in Switzerland, won in a lawsuit against a local company on piracy Tuesday.

According to the Beijing No. 1 People's Court, the defendant, the Tianjin Gaole Toy Co., Ltd., infringed the copyrights of the foreign company.

The Tianjin company was ordered to hand over the molds and the unsold toy blocks to the court, pay the fees for destroying the molds and the blocks, pay the plaintiff over 67,000 yuan(US$8104.81) in compensation, and publish an apology in Beijing Daily.
