Are you interested in Beijing's huge breakfast market and wanna start a breakfast chain there?
If so,make sure you have a minimum 8-million yuan (US$967,352)in pocket,the floor limit for breakfast service providers allowed to start business in the city.
It is one of the 10 aspects the city's commercial commission unveiled yesterday to qualify the participants of its breakfast project.
With the project,Beijing aims to regulate its breakfast market and set up several large-size breakfast chain corporations.
So far,foreign investors and China's private companies show more interest in the project,according to the commercial commission.
Applicants for the project will invest in the project for a minimum five years after getting qualified by the city's evaluation panel for the project.
Beijing's breakfast market is huge.According to the commercial commission's estimation,the daily sales in the downtown eight districts will top 8million yuan.
However,the current market is undertapped.Some 70 percent of people are dissatisfied with the breakfast sector,saying it's usually hard to find a place to eat,according to statistics from the commission.
The commission said only 20 percent of the city's 30,000 dining places are providing breakfast services.
